Legal Technology

The engineering partner behind trial-ready legal software.

From rescuing a stalled .NET trial-presentation product to building AI deposition synchronization from scratch, InWork is the long-term development partner for US legal-tech companies serving trial attorneys, prosecutors, and paralegals.

Who we build for

Legal software has to work in the courtroom — on the first try.

Trial attorneys, prosecutors, and paralegals don't get a second take. The software they rely on to present evidence, synchronize deposition video, and intake cases has to be stable, fast, and dependable under pressure. That's a higher bar than most product teams are built for.

InWork brings expert-level Microsoft-stack engineering and AI delivery to legal technology — as a long-term partner, not a one-off vendor. We've taken over a failing product and returned it to active shipping, and we've co-built a brand-new AI product from scratch under a revenue-share partnership.

What we build for legal teams

Three production systems across the legal workflow.

ExhibitView

Trial presentation

Windows desktop trial-presentation software for evidence display in the courtroom. InWork is the development partner — stabilizing the legacy .NET codebase, shipping OTA auto-update, .MDB and DVT file handling, and ASCII transcript parsing.

SyncExpress

Deposition AI

AI that auto-syncs deposition video to transcript text at the line/timestamp level with per-line confidence scoring. Two deployments — a cloud web app (SyncExpress) and a downloadable desktop app (SyncExpress Live) — with credit-based billing and US-encrypted cloud storage.

InLegal

Intake & qualification

AI chat and lead qualification for law firms — practice-area routing, AI intake questionnaires, conflict-check webhook integration, and TCPA-compliant SMS follow-up.

Featured · Legacy rescue

ExhibitView: when the previous developer couldn't deliver, InWork took over.

InWork took over a failing .NET Windows desktop engagement for ExhibitView Solutions, a US legal-technology company. The existing codebase was unstable, the prior dev team had stalled, and the client needed expert Microsoft-stack engineers immediately.

We stabilized the legacy code, shipped OTA auto-update infrastructure, implemented .MDB export and DVT file handling and ASCII transcript parsing — and returned the product to active development with zero delivery gap to the client.

Outcome stream · Delivered

Stalled to shipping in under five weeks.

1

Week 1 — Development engagement transferred and the legacy codebase assessed.

2

Week 2 — Critical bugs stabilized; the product is dependable again.

3

Week 3 — OTA auto-updater shipped so users stay current automatically.

4

Week 4 — .MDB export format and DVT file handling implemented.

5

Week 5 — Product back in active delivery, with 4+ product lines maintained.

Featured · AI product partnership

SyncExpress: deposition sync, automated and accurate.

InWork built SyncExpress from scratch as a co-development partnership — InWork builds at cost, ExhibitView Solutions handles marketing, and net revenue is split 50/50. The platform auto-syncs deposition video recordings to transcript text at the line/timestamp level using AI, assigning a confidence score to every sync.

It ships in two modes — SyncExpress (cloud web app) and SyncExpress Live (downloadable desktop) — with credit-based billing, a role-based user hierarchy, and secure US-based encrypted cloud storage. The platform was validated across two industry expert webinars, with strong market interest confirmed; post-beta refinement is in progress.

Outcome stream · Live

From upload to a synced, confidence-scored transcript.

1

Transcript and video uploaded to secure US-encrypted storage.

2

AI sync initiated across the recording.

3

Line-by-line timestamp matching between video and transcript.

4

A confidence score is assigned to every synced line.

5

Low-confidence lines are flagged for human review.

6

The finished sync is delivered via a secure link.

Why legal-tech companies partner with us

Product-grade engineering, not staff augmentation.

.NET Windows desktop depth

Expert Microsoft-stack engineers who can stabilize and extend legacy desktop products — OTA updaters, proprietary file formats, and transcript parsing included.

AI built into the product

Confidence-scored video-to-transcript synchronization, credit logic, and role-based access — AI features engineered for accuracy and auditability, not demos.

Partnership models that fit

From a take-over development engagement to a 50/50 revenue-share co-build, we structure the relationship around how the product needs to grow.

US-based, encrypted infrastructure

Secure, US-based encrypted cloud delivery — appropriate for the confidentiality legal work demands.
